Recent results on gamma-ray bursts: What we can learn from the BOAT
Silvia Zhu
DESY
Studies of transient phenomena such as gamma-ray bursts are often advanced by the detections of spectacular individual events. Most recently, the extraordinary GRB 221009A (also known as the “BOAT,” or Brightest Of All Time) smashed observational records across the electromagnetic spectrum. In this talk, I will discuss some of the surprising results from the BOAT and other recent gamma-ray bursts.
